I would like to get some input of a home theatre I'm putting together. 95% of it will be for watching movies.
I have a rather large living room 24' x 18' with 8' ceilings. I have been going back and fourth with large speakers or sattelites. Next to my 60" Samsung LED television which is in a small corner, I have about 2' of room before hitting the fireplace. I was thing of using that space for the subwoofer. Don't have much room for front standing floor speakers. Anyhow my budget is around $1500 for the speakers and receiver.
I did alot of reading online of the different speakers (Polk Audio, Klipsch, NFT, BIC), and I was leaning to Definitive Technology. The reviews seem to be great. This the setup I was thinking about getting:
- 4 - Pro Monitor 1000 - front and rear
- 1 - Pro Center 2000 - center
- 1 - Super Cube 4000 - subwoofer
Not sure what kind of receiver Possibly the Onkyo TX-NR717, Yamaha RX-V575 or a Denon. I might even think of going with a 7.1 receiver, but my coach butts up to the back wall. Can't put speakers behind it. Maybe you can give me ideas on that too.
