A black car would help hide this somewhat....

I zoomed up some of the pics and noticed a couple of things....
It's supercharged and has paddle shifters.

If these photos are real, it answers a couple of very important questions....in a good way.smile.gif

Oh, yeah! Back in the '70s the Cadillac I was driving then blew up on a highway just south of Norman. Although the OKC Cadillac dealer sold my car to me and customarily handled my service, because it had to be towed it was taken to the Norman dealer. The problem was caused because a plastic tube in the transmission circulating coolant broke and contaminated the transmission fluid. The Norman service advisor told me I was in luck because GM was covering fifty percent of the cost of repairs of such failures. That would have been it if the Norman service department hadn't screwed up the repair by failing to thoroughly purge the system of the mixture of coolant and transmission fluid. When I started having trouble again, in OKC this time, I went to the OKC Cadillac dealer's service rep I usually worked with and asked if they could do the repairs this time. He told me that I would have to take it back to Norman but explained to me that GM was actually paying 100 percent of the cost of such repairs.

Being forearmed with the truth, I called the Norman dealer's service manager and asked him what he was going to do about the 50 percent of the repairs I had paid for out of pocket. When he started to bluster and told me that I must have misunderstood I told him not to worry about a thing, I would discuss the matter with GM's Zone Office and they could sort it out. The guy ended the conversation but called back 15 minutes later and agreed to refund what I had paid for the first repair and to take care of the second at no charge. Jesus, what is it about the automobile business! smile.gif

It has always been this way as far as I can remember....frown.gif
It seems their motto is "F_ck you and the car you drove in on...."mad.gif

Part of the problem is dealers tend to have a sense of entitlement, AND run small monopolies based on a geographic area.rolleyes.gif

yeah I wonder if this will be a DCT transmission offered on this Vette! I am not really a fan of yellow but I like the aggressiveness of this Z06! Black would be my first choice in color and for sure people will know that this vette is a bit special when it is seen rolling around the streets!

I think it is also funny that some dealerships treat certain cars like they are 'Ferrari's' and cannot be test driven! I enquired about the STi Suby and I went to the dealership and the guy wouldn't let me test drive it.rolleyes.gif Granted this is Ohio and maybe they didn't have a demo one but the guy was really jerky about it. But other dealerships around here let me test drive a new CTSV.biggrin.gif

I will not buy a car without a test drive...period.

A Suby?
Don't ya just luuuuv car salesman?biggrin.gif

My universal hatred for car salespeople and their BS tactic of trying to control and dominate conversations with potential buyers has turned me into a customer-from-hell.
When I buy a car now, I put them in their place right away.
They may get some commission from me, but I make sure their tail is between their legs and they know I think they're scum of the earth.

Found some more stuff about the new Z06 on the net:

Scooped" from the '15 Z06 reveal:

- 8L90E 8-Speed Automatic available! Only 620+ hp car so equipped
- Steel torque tube replaced with woven c/f
- 60% more rigid chassis, with roof on, than C6 Z06
- 2.2" wider front track
- 3" wider rear track
- Wheel and tire sizes from C6 ZR1
- 3 levels, with varying degrees of aero downforce, with the Z07 version having more d/f than any production car GM's tested in their wind tunnel
- Compact 1.7L supercharger capable of 20,000 rpm and 9.5 psi of boost
- Pre-production versions set lap records @ Milford, beating ZR1 lap times

I agree on its looks.
IMO, the C7 looks very nice to begin with, but this Z06 projects much more of a bad-a$$ attitude (I may be in love.tongue.gif).

All things considered, I think this is a BIG shot across the bow of the new Viper.
I am a huge Viper fan, but.....

Chrysler must respond to this.
I know they are working on a DCT.
However, it will take more than just that.
8.4 liters should be capable of much more than 640hp.

FWIW, I consider the Viper's exterior and interior on the GTS model, at least, to STILL be more attractive than the Z06...
As always, YMMV.wink.gif

I happen to surf to CNN at 1/2 time of the Denver game, and they are showing a live shot from the Red Carpet at the Golden Globes. Nikki Lauda got an awful lot of face time.
Funny that you put it that way. I like Lauda but at the risk of sounding cruel he doesnt have the best face. Before or after the fire.

To my ears, Ferraris produce the most beautiful sound of all street cars sold.

Now, if I just had a little more dough and could buy a 458 without feeling irresponsible.....biggrin.gif
