I'm deciding between either the Optoma HD25e or HD25-LV (they are the same except the LV has 400 more lumens)
I want to project a 150 inch screen. The room is 20ft long 15 ft wide. The light can be highly controlled (basement light brown walls)
The two screens I am deciding between are a 1.8 gain screen or a 1.1 gain elite screen. The prices are nearly the same so that isn't a factor.
I will mostly be doing gaming & movie watching. 3d doesn't matter (won't be used). I would also like to run the projector in eco mode to get the most hours out of the lamp.
If i get the HD25e and a 1.1 gain screen, I can get up to 23 fl. With a 1.8 screen I can get 38fl
If i get the HD25-LV and a 1.1 gain screen I can get up to 26 fl. With a 1.8 screen I can get 43fl
Which option do you think would work best?
With the 1.8 gain screen I'm worried about hotspotting.
Should I be worried about viewing angle as well?
The room is 185 inches wide and the screen will be 131 inches wide. That doesn't leave room to view the screen at an angle, or does it?
