Optoma GT750 Projector Setup

HI Guys

I just bought this projector and have no clue on how to connect it to AV receiver. I'm trying to basically watch movies and have sound come from my 7.1 speaker setup. Any advice on how I can connect this projector to my AV receiver and get surround sound from my speakers.

Thanks

I am trying to connect the projector to my pioneer elite receiver via hdmi. I am going to be watching movies using WDTV. What I am trying to do is hook up the projector to my receiver via hdmi, and also hook up WDTV to my receiver via hdmi. When I do that I cannot get the picture from WDTV to show up on the screen via the projector. Currently I have an HDMI cable going from projector to HDMI out port on the receiver. Even if I change the connection on the receiver I cannot get the picture to show up. Hopefully i am explaining my situation clearly. Thanks for the advice

I don't know what a wdtv is, but I would assume it should be connected to one of the receiver's hdmi inputs. The projector should be the receiver's hdmi output.

WDTV is western digital box. You can connect hard drive to it and watch mkv files. So I do have it hook up correctly then? Projector's hdmi connection to receiver's hdmi out. I wonder why projector isn't recognizing the picture this way.

Have you tried other input devices on the receiver like a cable box or Blu-ray player?
