Which PS4 games have the best, most fun Local Co-Op?

Hi, all you lucky people who are currently playing on the PS4.

Which games with the Local Co-Op / Local Competition option (i.e.. 2 or more players on the couch playing the same game) are the most fun and work the best in your opinion?

Sadly, that component seems to be de-emphasized in the latest systems but as everyone with kids knows- that's where the most family fun is.

The kiddos aren't particularly young so any game is fine.

So, which game is bringing the 2-player awesome for you, your kids, your friends?

Thanks.

Have you tried that new TIny Brains that came out I think this week? There's a demo in the Store you can download. Keep your eye on the Division for a more co-op adult experience.

Knack is pretty good co-op. My son & I played through on Hard co-op and are about a third of the way thru a 2nd play through collecting crystals & the last gadget pieces. The first "training" stage oddly enough is single player only, but the rest is co-op. The 2nd character (a slightly smaller silver copy of Knack we called "Silvio") doesn't matter for deaths which makes the game far easier to play. The camera only follows the main Knack though so if Silvio wanders too far he'll respawn or be off screen for awhile - which can be fun knocking him down an ice chute if you're into that wink.gif

Marvel Lego is another co-op. We only played the first couple of levels on it so far. Didn't enjoy it as much as Knack on first playing. Probably because some of the "puzzles" leave you slightly befuddled as to what you're missing until you finally try the right thing with the right character & the context clues can be lacking.

And of course the various sports games can offer some good co-op or head-to-head fun as well.

So far there's not a huge collection of "Couch Co-Op" options though...

Thanks Ultracat.

The PS4 is under wraps until Christmas. So, I was trying to figure out what to get.

I'll be looking for Tiny Brains.

Thanks, DaMavs-

So, I wondered about the secondary nature of "Silvio", but it sounds like that's an unnecessary worry. You and your son are having fun.

Anybody else?

The sports games are good for two player (or more) fun. NBA 2K14 is the best of the bunch, but Fifa and Madden 25 aren't bad either. Me and my son have played all 3 of those games, but Fifa was a demo. We own the other two. Both of my kids aren't really sports gamers, but they enjoy NBA 2K14 just because they think the graphics look so amazing, and it has great sound and production. Music playing during the timeouts and stuff. Great presentation.

Skylanders might be another one to check out.
