Am ready to dump cable for antenna to receive OTA TV.  Am told that we can get 150/160 channels and HD but that's from the guy I would pay $ for install and materials.   Dont' want to find out after the fact that because of our location,  the antenna will not deliver   Would appreciate hearing about experiences from anyone who is using an antenna for OTA TV in or near my neighborhood .   Thanx

I am in Fountain Valley and yes the OTA reception in this ares works well with the digital signal. I am a DirecTV user but have always maintain a OTA capability.

If you have decent line of sight back to Mt Wilson, a medium sized 7-51 antenna should get you over 100 total "channels" of content.

One last question, if I get local channels with an antenna and use Hulu or the like for Tv shows and movies I think all will be good except for fox national news ( with Megan Kelly and Bill o'Reilly. How will I get that?

By subscription only (of some sort), same as any other "cable" channel.

You didn't ask but to let you know most of those 150/160 channels are foreign language stations.
