Can my Denon AVR-1713 drive 4-6 ohm speakers like the old Paradigm 9se Mk3?

I'm currently running old Infinity IL10 speakers (really don't know if they're any good; I bought them 10-15 years ago) and my father offered me his Paradigm 9s3 Mk3 tower speakers if I want them.

Thoughts?

Considering buying new front speakers (L/R/C) and maybe rears as well. Happy with my subwoofer. for my system if the Paradigms aren't better. Any suggestions? Prefer to spend $1000-1500 ideally, but willing to pay more if there's good price/performance. Mostly used for watching movies.

At moderate TV listening volume levels shouldn't be a problem. For louder movie/music listening the AVR may shut down in protection mode if the volume is raised to high.

The IL10 speaker is pretty good. I've owned IL30s IL40s and IL50s in past years. The Paradigm speakers might be better but it won't be a night and day revelation IMO. While I haven't owned the IL10s I have owned the Beta 20 - same speaker with a fresh face. They sound pretty good.

I have the Denon 1713 in my bedroom setup driving 4ohm speakers in 2.1 channel. I don't drive it hard. I doubt it has the omph to drive a 5 channel 4ohm rated set of speakers. For 2 channel it should do ok. I would stick with 8ohm speakers for a 5 channel setup.

Thanks, much! I'll stick to my IL10s then.
