We all know about those 5 stars bass movies/clips but I would like to know what your number one BASS demo MOVIE (whole movie, not just clips) is if you have friends or family over to watch?
Thanks for posting. I have not seen the whole movie (Immortal). My main goal for this thread is to have inputs of what movie I need to sit thru. I do not want to go thru the whole movie just for one or a couple scenes.
Man that is tuff! Probably Underworld because of Kate! There is some serious bass too, but I love the movie as well. I think over all it has more bass scenes than the other two that I listed.
He did specify the "whole movie" in the OP. At 162 minutes, I don't find that to be excruciatingly long especially when the last 12 minutes are chocked up to credits. People tend to loose perspective of time when a movie is totally engrossing.
If I had to choose one movie to show off my subs, it would have to have great dynamics, ULF and lf. The movie would also have to be good to make the bass more impactful and meaningful. I'd want a wide variety of different presentations of bass from the kick in the chest, to earth shaking ULF, to subtle suspense building ULF as well.

I know what he said, but I am saying that your guests have to be willing to sit through a movie that long that they have probably seen already. That is a long movie period.

Point taken and I agree. Just sayin that as far as a "demo" movie, it's up there. And most have not viewed it in a well appointed HT anyway so it would be like seeing it for the first time........again.
I say buy a boatload of bass heavy movies and let the guests choose their own poison.
(well, that's what we're/I'm doing)
With twenty or thirty bass heavy movies in the basket, there's bound to be something they'll want to watch and if these movies past muster on these pages, you know the guests will love them, even if being seen for a third or fourth time cause we're special and we don't buy junk movies.
I guess that if we are to include the criteria of whether the movie has been seen or not, then we would likely wanna go with a more recent release. In that case I'd say either;
Olympus has Fallen or
Oblivion.
Both had excellent soundtracks and looked good too. Storylines on both were decent.

Do not include "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" as the movie made you want to stab your brain with a fork because the plot line and acting was so terribly bad.

That's what I originally thought you meant until I went up and re-read your OP. The wording sounds like you were looking for a good demo flick with bass not being the number one criteria. With that being the case then I have to say
I'm not going miss a chance to throw "Battle LA" into the fray. I've watched that flix a half-dozen times and loved it each time. It's finally getting old but if a guest picked that flix from the basket, I could easily watch it again.
One of my new favorite scenes on that disk is the beginning of chapter 4, where the military is going in to get banner. There is a suspense building 15hz'ish sine wave that is about a minute long...very cool wobble effect in my room, and helps build suspense for the scene.
