Replacement for Onkyo SR805

So finally my Onkyo receiver died... what a way to start this new year! frown.gif

I am now thinking what to buy.. this is definitely not on my budget so I need to be limited to it... I would say, something between the 300 and 400...

My current setup

Front Speaker Aperion Audio Intimus Speakers 5B
Center Speaker Aperion Audio Intimus Speaker 5C
Surround Speakers (Back) Aperion Audio 4B speakers
Rythmik F12 Direct Servo subwoofer - Signature Edition

The main use for the setup is amongst:
Listening Music (Apple TV, Stanton Turntable) 60%
Watching Movies (Apple TV, DirectTV HD) 40%

Any ideas? I was thinking on the Marantz 1403 or Onkyo 525....

Thanks!

How about something like a Denon AVR-1913? Last year's model so it is on closeout for around $400. 7.1 with lots of power and features. Highly regarded around here.

well... the reason I was thinking on the models I cited is that me set up is a 5.1... don't think I will be adding more speakers..

ok, so I have seen some of the options. what would be recommended:

Denon AV1713
Denon AX1000
Onkyo 525
Onkyo 626

Thanks

Anyone? I would really appreciate your input....

Any of those should fit your needs. Look for the best deal. Buy one with more inputs than you need, because there will always be new toys.

BTW, just because a receiver has 7.1 doesn't mean you need to have 7 speakers. You can use them as 5.1 and either be ready to upgrade in the future, or use the other 2 as zone 2. Most reasonable receivers these days are 7.1, with 5.1 being reserved for the bottom end.

I have had my onkyo 626 for about 6 months and I love it and recommend it. I to have a 5.1 system but im also in a small room. You can possibly save money with the 525 but 626 is my recommendation.

I looked into the Denon a while back, as well as a couple other receivers but kept being drawn back to the onkyo.
