^ And you know how I shoot and with which modes, how? I never use Auto.
Wow, I just wish we all knew as much as you do and how to shoot as well as you do. A consummate video professional if ever there was one...and a diplomat too!
BTW, thedest, what was the SUBJECT
of that video in the NEX frame grab above? Was it the people or was it the clouds? If it was the people, you did a very poor job in exposing for them. If it was the clouds, you were dead on. You have never grasped the concept of what the subject is. You have never grasped the fact that Hollywood movies CONSTANTLY over-expose clouds, skies, windows in a manner to draw attention to the SUBJECT. It's not that they can't get these things exposed properly simultaneously, it's that they choose NOT to. The SUBJECT thedest, the subject...what is your subject.
That's why I am not nearly as impressed as you are with getting everything in a frame perfectly exposed. That's why I am not nearly as obsessed as you are with an extra 3 stops of DR. To you that is the be all and end all. But that's does NOT make a good video. In fact it usually makes for a DISTRACTING video if used improperly. You should go to the movies more often, don't take my word for it.
I'm going to stop feeding you now. Enough is enough.Edited by Ken Ross - 1/15/14 at 8:34pm
