This is for the Turtle Beach PX4's.
Picked these up yesterday and I'm very happy with the surround sound. Much better than my previous Turtle Beach ones for my PS3.
I followed the set up instructions that came with the headset.
Instructions are HERE!
My set up is PS4---> Denon AVR---> Sharp 80" all through HDMI
A couple problems I noticed…..
When not using the headset (headset off) I can hear people (with a headset) chatting through my 7.1 surround system Not very clear either. Actually, I'm scared of damaging my speakers if I let it continue. The way I've been doing away with that is to mute the whole group on the COD Ghost game.
On my PS3, I could not hear any chat, only game sounds. Only if I powered on my headset could I hear chat.
When I use the headset JUST for the sound, they work flawless.
Apparently Sony needs to put a patch out to make these headsets completely wireless. As of right now, a wire needs to be connected from the headset to the PS4 controller.
When I do install this wire to chat, the chat I hear is very garbled just like when coming from my 7.1 system. I don't know if its the headset or the way it's hooked up, or the settings on the PS4, or maybe the PS4 just needs a patch. Like I said, I followed the instructions for hook up.
I've read reviews on the Best Buy site and it seems the garbled chat thing is not an isolated issue. No one said anything about hearing chat through speakers.
Can anyone help?
