Well I just set all the subs up in the corner as far as I could go so my Tower Phase technology PC 800 HO's can be out of the way from the screen( still need to build frame).
All i did was listen to a few tracks and leveled the PB 2000's to the PB 1000's by ear with the said music's bass beat . But i decided to get out the RS SPL meter
and dial it in. Surprisingly me ears did me well. both matched perfectly !
But they sound very similar in character switching them off and On. I had to raise the volume on the PB 2000's to 3 O'Clock tho to match , but this may be to the gerry rigged Y splitters i had to use.
The single sub out from my Adcom GTP 830 is being split 4 times for this set up. Also I think by raising the PB 1000 up gave it more output from its position. I don't remember the reading I got on my meter
being as big at my LP when it was on the floor. Another bonus to how this is set up is the main speakers sound better up high. For movies this may be a bigger bonus!!

of dual subs flanking my TV stand....ahh decisions decisions.
Ok so for you i did an AB with dual PB 1000's and the single PB 2000. So having said that go with the Dual PB 1000's even in my 4000k Cu Ft room the duals did better so far than the single with the few tracks I played.
Not sure how it will do for movies . That will have to wait for a later full review if I have time to do a proper set up.
the bass was smoother as I walked around the room and had more tactile feel at my LP.
But the dual PB 2000's really left the dual PB 1000's a few car lengths behind. More Thump in your body, not just you chest but BODY ! I felt the bass drum beats in my arms legs and chest.
And this was at modest listening levels. I blew my speakers fuses the other day and am being cautious
But all four subs at once was AMAZING!!! I feel in the collocated set up I have this set up is sweet!!!! Nice smooth bass that you can Feel in your hair follicles!!!!
If i had more Cables Id try to send the Sub outs only to the PB 2000's and the L and R main amp inputs to the PB 1000's and use the cross over at between 80 to 100 on the sub so the PC 800's only take care of the rest.
I might not send the PB 1000's back after hearing this.
And I only listened to three songs!! I had to come up and post these impressions before I shook my Marquee 9500LC PJ's from the ceiling!!!
As you can tell I like two of everything.
