I'll take care of that...

The PB-1000 is nice and all but if you buy dual PB-13 Ultras you will really notice a difference.  :)

WHAT! rolleyes.gif No seriously though.. wink.gif It can be said in many cases they’re right, but in your case you needed to draw the line and move up. Congrats!

I resemble that remark.  All it took to pass the WAF for my $800 sub was a $200 chair to hide it with and a $1200 Mac Book Pro.

The things we do for love (of bass).

I have always found that sufficing the wife with buying two SW’s (one for me, one for you) is the best approach hands down.

Yesterday I secretly ordered a coffee table that my wife has been wanting for the living room, will be here tomorrow. Hopefully, when my sub shows up a day later, she'll still be overwhelmed with coffee table joy.

Ah, good plan. Let us know if she falls for it.

Smart guys don't get married at all. They just find a woman that they don't like and buy them a house. biggrin.gif

I'm curious as to what people think about 1 SVS SB2000 or 2 Reaction Audio BPS 212 for $700.

Hard to say since the RA subs are so new. But they seem like a good deal for the money.

Im currently running def tech 8040 towers, 8060 center, and bp surrounds off an older txh01 pioneer elite receiver. Was planning on using the pioneer as a pre amp and pick up a starter emotiva xpa amp. But i want to get rid of the supercube. Room is 23x18 with vaulted ceilings. I was going to pull the trigger on an outlaw LFM-1 EX but thought i would get some feed back this time. Enclosure size doesnt matter but the wife would kill me if i went over $700. Any feedback is much appreciated. Thanks

And I know i shouldn't have got the supercube in the first place. My mistake. Was trying to make the wife happy, but now its my turn.

This one is not bad. Velodyne VA-1215x mkII

On the gon, way below your limit price

There's an 8 foot mountain of snow in front of my front porch, anyone who is willing to hurdle that deserves it. Honestly, I'm surprised the FedEx guy didn't say eff it and come back another day.

So....the way I understand this, we have a brand new, boxed up subwoofer, alone "AND" in the cold.

....rolleyes.gif

I tells ya, this is getting worse by the post.

...tongue.gif

A suggestion, so you don't get condensation on the internal parts, give the box a day to warm up. Bring the box inside, and unopened, let it warm up. Tomorrow on the way out the door, open the box up and flip the flaps back. Pull it out of the box, tomorrow after work. Just saying, my understanding, electricity, electronics and moisture don't play-and-get-along-well together.

Disaster averted, my wife was home and had it inside. I got an evil look of doom from her.
