I have had my current setup for just over 10 years. For my birthday, my wife said I could look at upgrading my speakers. She had looked into some speaker systems for me and am wondering for some professional help.
My current system is
Fronts: Klipsch SB-1 Bookshelf
Center: Klipsch SC-1
Surrounds: Klipsch SS-1
Sub: M&K something
Receiver: Onkyo TX-SR608
My Klipsch speakers were discontinued in 2004, but have been quite happy with them.
Due to budgeting I am looking at spending between $500 and $600. My wife has looked into the following:
Definitive Technology ProCinema 400 system
Klipsch HDT-600 system
Would either of these be an upgrade to my current system? I know they are both sets of satellite speakers as opposed to bookshelf speakers.
Do you have other options?
