CT660 Volume Control...

I'm looking at a Sony HT CT660 and wanted to know if I will be able to control the volume of the 660 via my Directv remote, seamlessly?  If my wife has to do anything special to control the volume while watching TV, her head will explode.  All the reviews I've read have been positive on this soundbar.  What do you think?

I don't have a DirecTV remote but I do own the soundbar so I can't tell you for sure but the soundbar has Bravia SYNC which might allow you to control the volume if you have a Sony HDTV with Bravia SYNC and you have the remote code for the TV in the DirecTV remote.

You can do this easily with any TV that has HDMI-CEC (HDMI control) capability. The various manufacturers call it diffrerent things (Panasonic Viera Link, Sony Bravia SYNC, LG SimpLink, Samsung Anynet, etc). Just activate it in the TV menu and the CT660 menu (called "HDMI control"). If your Direct TV remote is already programmed to control your TV volume, then it should now control the sound bar volume instead.

Thanks.  I used the ARC HDMI and it worked perfectly, with no setup, right out of the box.  I was surprised how it was all automatic.
