Think I fried a channel on my Behringer EP4000, any thoughts??

Long story short... I had dog-zilla roll through my area and she ripped out a channel from the back of the sub it was actively powering.

So, each channel was running a different sub... Channel 2 (the one my dog ripped out) now basically says it's clipping constantly, red light sorta flickers but it's nearly solid. EXTREMELY limited output, it's 95% distortion on that channel... but I can barely hear some of the content. I'm not sure if it's useful info, however it was banana plugs she yanked out, and they were resting on each other when I went to have a look.

Channel 1 is A-OK, nothing wrong with it.

I've been reading for a bit and I'm still nearly illiterate when it comes to understanding how the components of an amplifier actually work, I don't own any testing gear and advice so far has been to not bother fixing it from a friend.

But I'm happy to tinker and I don't mind buying some testing gear if it's not too much...

Any idea's on where to start or if I should even bother???

Consider a dog trainer?

Call Behringer for some guidance. It sounds like you need both channels. Is it under warranty?

If you know of one that can teach my dog to detect speaker wires in the dark I'll consider it smile.gif

Also it's 4 yrs old I think, no warranty, Behringer will just say they will fix it for the cost of a new one once shipping is all said and done, not to mention I live in canada and I believe this would be going back to the states.

It's just a common amp I just thought someone might have an idea or have some experience fixing them... or even a best guess on the magnitude of the problem...
