Unfortunately Emotiva has a history faux pas. Unless Emotiva brings back the Sherbourn line the brand is no longer. If I recall the Emotiva facility where the XMC-1 will be built is new.
So why not just go ahead with the CX-A5000 now? You don't sound happy with Emotiva, yet you will, as you say, "follow laufmans carrot", so why would you allow a situation to be so controlling of your next move?
I tend to think that some of the overly thankful posts over on the Emotiva forum come from 'posters' who have invested in Emotiva stock, and want sweetness and light to translate into mega sales of the XMC-1. No doubt over the years, Dan has had to beat the bushes for investors.
I just read one such post on the Emo forum where a guy defends them by saying, "haven't you ever made a mistake at work?" Priceless, as if this isn't about 4 years of mistakes!
