Do you use them for subs? Have you had the chance to compare them to old-iron boat anchor amps?
I use one of them for subs. I have (2) SI 18 D4s running at 2 ohm each. Only using 2 channels right now. I have two more SI 18s on the way. So one amp just for the subs getting about 1000 real watts each. We'll see once the two additional SI 18s show up if the iNuke can run four 2 ohm loads simultaneously. From the testing data that I have seen I don't think it will be a problem.
I use the other one for my L/C/R speakers with one open channel. With the additional iNuke I can bridge those channels for double the power. So yeah I did not NEED the additional iNuke but for how little it cost I want the option for more power.
My SI 18s start to roll off around 15hz. Not sure if that is normal for my subs or not. They definitely dig deeper than my XV-15s, but that was expected. I use a minidsp to EQ the subs.
As for the comparison between old-iron. I used an XPA-5 for my L/C/R and now use the iNuke. I could not tell any difference between them. I don't have very good speakers in my room right now so not a good comparison. I am waiting for my SEOS stuff to show up.
