I'm looking for some help. I've been using my PS3 for the last few years as a media device, given that it plays pretty much every file format I need. However, it's died and I've replaced with a PS4 which plays... nothing. Nice.
So I'm looking for a media streamer now. There's a lot out there so I need some proper advice. I don't have many requirements really:
1. must play as many file formats as possible, avi, divx, xvid, mp4, mkv and so on.
2. must be able to play them from a USB stick or similar storage card
3. HDMI out
Anything on top of that is nice, but literally just bells and whistles.
Budget? Well, I'm realistic. I'm happy to pay for something very good that will last as opposed to something OK that will not last. I'm in the UK btw.
The device will most like be plugged into the HDMI In on an Xbox One as I'm out of inputs on my TV!
