Need help replacing my amp

I have a Dayton sub that just had the amp die. What amp can I get to replace the dead one?

Just look at the PE site for a plate amp that is about the same size (exactly same size is better) and about the same power. A drop in replacement is very straightforward.

If you cannot get an exact size match, you might consider a new subwoofer because cutting-and-pasting to get a new plate amp to fit can be a very big hassle.

+1. $120 (incl. shipping) will get you into a brand-new, well-rated Dayton SUB-1000.

I wouldn't waste my time it. Perhaps you could convert it to passive sub, won't cost you anything if you have a amp lying around.

I'm starting to lean this direction.

Is a passive sub one that uses an external amp?
