Very first post!!!

Well, I'm very happy that we finally got WFGX-TV in Mobile.

I took these pictures of My35 logo and the name. (I took them with my DSi.)

Just ingore these letter plz, the "X" is missing...

And I also got 50.1 too. 35.1 and 50.1 are both the same...

I can get to watch Jerry Springer and the Daily Buzz.

Follow up on Multi Room Viewing with Directv. Wife was ill yesteday so she relaxed in the bedroom watching recorded programs off the living room DVR, thru the bedroom DVR. At the same time, I watched different recorded programs off the living room DVR. Very cool.

Are you running MRV over DECA or your own wireless network? I used MRV for over a year on my wireless n network and it was flawless. I hear the DECA is just as good. I decided to quit when the beta ended to avoid the $3 charge. I just didn't use it that often (about once a month). I would have surely used it more if I didn't have multiple HD-DVRs.

I still use DIRECTV2PC over my network, but again not that often.

DECA. I had MRV beta over gigabit powerline adapters and it was mostly reliable. I decided to go with DECA since it's supported fully and bulletproof if done right.

I need 4 tuners at certain times, but hate having to go into the bedroom to watch recorded shows, so I love this setup now.

I have been using MRV at my house for about a year too over a hardwired connection. It works great, especially when there is about 3 things you want to record at once, and you don't have to remember which box it is recorded on. I didn't have trouble from CSRs at DirectTV to enable service and go to an unsupported configuration. Wasn't happy about it the fee, but I like the feature so much, convinced parents for their home to all hd equipment just to have that feature with DECA(they gave them free boxes).

WFGX MyTV 35 should be on DirecTV too soon... (I have DirecTV right now)

Strange behavior with my HR 20-700. I did a search on the tuner of my Panasonic plasma connected to an outside antenna, and it picked up 35.1 with no problem; I added it to the channel matrix on the Panny; and it has about 85 to 90 per cent strength, and reception seems solid and consistent. It maps to 35.1

On the 20-700, however, only 35-2 is shown on the guide. If I tick it to be shown, and select it on the guide, all I get is a black screen with no sound.

I tried to re-scan the over the air channels of the HR 20*, but it froze while going through that procedure, and I wound up having to reset it.

So, needless to say, I will be happy when Directv adds channel 35 to its line up, so I will not have to put up with this!!

The HR20 will not OTA scan. If the channel is not in the guide, it has to be added to the database by DIRECTV. That information comes from Tribune Media Services. Until they list it, you won't be able to tune it on the HR20. Once it is listed (check www.zap2it.com), if it still not not in the guide, repeat the Antenna Initial Setup to re-download the local OTA guide info.

Check my earlier post for help speeding things along.

– There’s a new viewing choice in the local television market. WFGX MyTV 35 is now broadcasting from WEAR TV 3’s tower in Baldwin County, providing a strong over-the-air signal in the North Escambia area.

WFGX offers MyNetworkTV programming from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. with such popular programs as “WWE: Smackdown”, “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?”, “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” and “The Unit”.

The station also airs movies from ThisTV throughout the day and with the programs “Jerry Springer”, “Maury Povich”, “Inside Edition” and “Extra” on weekdays. During the weekend, WFGX airs “Desperate Housewives”, “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Bones”.

The station is available over-the-air as channel 35.1 (physically on channel 50) in standard definition.

“Sometime in early August we will be changing to a High-Definition signal only,” said Joe Smith, WEAR/WFGX operations manager. In the near future, the station will add “TheCoolTV”, a music station, on a second digital channel….Cont….

I wonder if "TheCoolTV" will be like TheTube.. nothing but videos.. just how like MTV used to be way back in the day.

I know it's hard to believe, but they sure did.

I've never understood why we can't seem to keep at least one channel active that shows all music videos. They say viewing time is really short on music video channels, but after practically every video MTV was showing commercials. Back in the day it seemed like it was 10 commercials for every 2 videos played.

VH1 used to play videos. MTV2 used to play videos. VH1 Classics is now more reality shows than videos. Ugh. Even Fuse, who started out proclaiming that music was their #1 priority, is now playing a bunch of non-video programming. It's crazy.

Man!!!!! I have left WFGX on all day, because it's really interesting and exciting...

Oh... here's my video I upload after we finally got WFGX.

But besides, I have DirecTV stranded DVR and it does not have everything like HD DVR...

I wish there's something we can do to our DirecTV stranded DVR... Got anything to scan channels for this stranded DVR?

I am sure glad THIS-TV has come to Panama City on 13-2, I watch it everyday. Even though the movies they are showing right now are kinda old, It beats soaps all day..

Yep, I'm liking it as well. I'm in my 40's and see quite a few movies I like but my main thing is watching "Highway Patrol". I've heard so much about it over the years but never had the opportunity to watch it. It is kinda corny by today's standards but I can certainly see the appeal it had back in the late 50's.

I've become hooked on ThisTV on WFGX...the only problem is that the network is running promos for movies that are covered up by MyNetworkTV programming during primetime. However, I have DirecTV and a lot of the movies that are airing on ThisTV are available on demand for free (and in HD including some in 1080P) on MGM's on Demand channel.

Now we get to wait for them to switch to HD and launch TheCoolTV...

WTVY in Dothan does the same thing with their MyNetwork subfeed. They show a block of ThisTV in the mornings and the MyNetwork for the rest of the day.

I"m relieved to see that WPMI and WJTC are transmitting the Saints' preseason games in HD!
It is a million times better than the SD feed we were subjected to last year...the audio sounded like it was coming over a telephone line.
