Quick back story, I currently have the following setup in my theater and I am looking to upgrade.

mains: 2x polk monitor 70's

center: polk monitor cs20

front high: 2x polk monitor 30's

surround and surround rear: 4x polk monitor 40's

Receiver yamaha rx-a2010

Amp, b&k 5000 ii 125x5

bic h-100 sub

I am looking at the following to start my upgrade:

psb image t6 with c5 center 1375 total

htd level 3 with level 3 center 1045

chane arx a5rx with a2rx center 1030

nht absolute towers with absolute center 1430

polk rti12 with csi a6 1050

Any advice would be appreciated.

Just picked up an outlaw lfm-1 plus to replace the bic sub.

Upgrade the sub. That will make far more difference than different speakers will.

I agree.

Updated Op: I've narrowed it down to:

htd level 3 with level 3 center 1045

chane arx a5rx with a2rx center 1030

nht absolute towers with absolute center 1430

polk rti12 with csi a6 1050

Any opinions on which way would be the best bang for the buck?

So I've had the PSB speakers for a few days now and I'll give my impressions. First I was immediately impressed by the sound stage, it sounded much bigger and wider than my Polks. The best way to describe it was it sounded more like the sound was all around rather than being directed from a speaker. Dialogue sounds a lot more balanced than the Polks, I noticed with the Polks I always had to set the center up a number of ticks to be able to clearly hear all of the dialogue. I've watched a couple movies that i've seen a thousand times and noticed things seem more crisp and detailed, little things that made me go hmm I don't remember that (maybe because I was more focused on listening for differences lol?). Overall I'm very happy, after they have some time under their belt I'll really crank them up.

Don't get me wrong the Polks are a great bang for the buck and served me well for a few years, they are just in a different class than the PSB image series.

Thanks again for everyone's input.

Glad you like them. Congrats!

Did you get the Outlaw sub yet? If not, you should really like that upgrade, too
