Whassup PM?

First off, congrats on the new truck! That's a sweet ride, amigo. And the two wheeler sitting next to it ain't too shabby neither.

Love the crystal skull 'tini. Never had that brand of vodka.

Ol' Wabo is cheering for the Blackhawks in Lord Stanley's cup. Why the Blackhawks you ask? Well, I'm in MN, so if not the Wild, then the boys from Chi-town. Plus any team that has this as an ice crew gets my vote any day of the week.

Hey, Scott is tying the knot this Friday!!! It is safe to assume there will be some boozing going on. Below is a pic from his Bachelor party:

Word on the street is, if the Blackhawks win the cup, Kipp is sending PioManiac & me a couple o' Lou Malnatis deep dish pies. Go hawks!

P.S. We need more pics of the bachelor party.

For those about to rock, I salute you... with some Jager shots! Accept no substitute.

So I figure Chi lets Philly have one at home tonite before playing spoiler.
...That way they can share a victory with their fans at home for Game #5.

Watcha guys think?

Winning at Home>Series Sweep

Oh yea, Chi-Town Deep Dish Pizza on Kipp,
I'm SO Down for that! ...What's the recommended Beverage of choice with that BTW?

I'm leaning toward's an Ale/Larger of some sort?
...experts? ...More of a Hard stuff kinda Guy myself...but like a good Guiness or Kilkenny sometimes.

I have been known to endulge in a good Italian Valpolicella (Red)
when I have pizza at home...but summer time may call for a brewski.
On such a lovely evening it was time to fire up the grill and crack a few cold ones. I believe Bobby Flay would approve.

I'm like you PM, I prefer the hard stuff too. However, during the day/evening a cold brewski or three hits the spot. Damn good.

As for what to drink with the deep dishes Kipp will be sending us

Hmmm... I'm not a wine guy either, but perhaps a cabernet with these beautiful creations would be in order. Thinking about it, I'd stick with beer. I do love a Guinness. But in this case, a nice Pale Ale me thinks. Any thoughts form the beer connoisseurs?

Salud.

The Blackhawks put the "win" in windy city. Barry Melrose called it in 6. I raise my Bacardi/diet to Barry, the mullet and the Stanley Cup champions, Chicago Blackhawks!

Sipping Champagne out of Lord Stanley's cup.

Congrats!

Hi Guy's,

I've been playing outside with my new Truck lately
installed a Tuner and will soon have her running 13's.
...already at 14.3 on regular gas and mild tune.

Way too hot to be inside,
So I've been taking a few Sunny afternoons off while the weathers nice.
I've been going too hard on the high octane Grey Goose martini's lately,
So today I'm running on a diluted mixture of Quervo Gold and Quervo Lime mix
shaken Violently with ice...cuz I'm too lazy to pull out the blender

Typing from my Lap Top on the Veranda admiring my recent landscape work...

My out-door Toys all waxed up and basking in the sun with me...

check out the before pic's, just 6 weeks ago...

after...

It's not quite the dog days of summer yet, but it's still hot & steamy outside. A perfect time for a nice cool, refreshing & thirst quenching cocktail.

Feel free to indulge in a few of these. With all the vitamins from the fresh watermelon and strawberries, it's practically a health drink.

The hardest part is waiting for it to chill in the freezer for an hour.

The wonderful watermelon surf

1 cups seedless watermelon chunks
1 cup trimmed strawberries, cut in half
½ cup coconut cream
1 to 2 shots spiced rum
Mini watermelon wedges for garnish
½ cup sweetened whipped topping

Blend watermelon, strawberries, coconut cream and rum just until smooth
Place in freezer for one hour, stirring occasionally
Pour into in chilled glass
Garnish with mini watermelon wedges and whipped topping
Serve immediately

Getting ready:

Time for the freezer:

Enjoy. Cheers:

MMMMMMM, ill drink anything with "the captain" in it.
It's great that this thread have been going on for 8 years; so I'll use it for my first Post. LOL. Sweet ride PioManiac. Waboman, I have to try one of those. Most of the time I drink Johnnie Walker Black and Perrier but that looks good with the heat we are having here.

I love this Thread!
I dont use my HT much in the Summer months,
but this thread keeps me coming back to share a toast occasionally with a few of my favorite AVS'ers.

Holy Crap (pardon my French) It's been HOT here (yes even in Canada)
into the high 80's lately and I'm not used to that!

I had to switch up my killer Martini's
(Grey Goose, Bombay Sapphire and Vermouth)
...and tried my Hand at a new Favorite...|The Super Sonic Gin & Tonic

You guys will love this one!

One Huge Freaking Wine Glass, The BIG one from IKEA will do
Pre-Chilled with about 6 large ice cubes, more if it's REALLY hot out.
(at least) 3 oz Bombay Sapphire Gin, again more is better
One Large Scoop (or Two) of Frozen Sprite Slurpy or 7up Slushy etc...from the local corner store.
Top it up with Tonic Water
Garnish with one large lime and one large lemon slice

...find a comfy spot on the deck and Chill!

yes this is my second bottle of Bombay, just cracked.
My G/F loves these too and even gave up the cheap white wine, so I'll have to start buying the Larger bottles now.

O-M-G! ...almost better than air conditioning (just got one of those last week too)

The new Truck got a Magnaflow exhaust system yesterday,
took the day off work Friday to install and re-programmed my Bully Dog Tuner.
...over 440 HP now and into the 13's in the quarter mile.
..not too bad for a 5500 lb 4x4 truck

I'm a fan of the gin & tonic too. In fact, I'm sipping on one as I type this. It's been hot and humid here. Got the ol' A/C cranking. Ya gotta love climate control. It's what separates us from the animals.

gmartinez1111, welcome aboard and good choice of placement for your first post.

PioManiac, I've never tried a g&t slushy before. Sounds refreshing on these hot & muggy days. The truck is looking awesome. Love the exhaust. 0-60mph in 5.7 seconds. Impressive.

Nice! You shaved .3 of a second off your time.

My wife has a Durango with the 5.7L Hemi. I should "PioManiac" it for her. Lol. It might become faster than my car, and we just can't have that.

P.S. Is that you and your truck in the youtube vids?
