Cruising the AVS Forum while intoxicated... - Page 6

Cheers to all AVSers today!

I might suggest some shots of Irish Whisky to you all (please pass on the JD for now...only for today!)
Who cares you irish mooks. The only people proud of being drunkards. OBTW your wiskey sucks.
Get outta the drinking thread unless you've got a glass of something in your hand. Oh- and it's multi-ethnic multi-cultural here too, so no slamming on the Irish or anyone else.

Cheers!

Drink #3-

Vodka with cranberry/raspberry Kool-Aid. My husband warned me about it and was right, it does taste a little like cough syrup.
Cheers! I agree and would take a shot to that...I'm off of work for the day...yah'll enjoy your specialties!

Damn Kipp, you couldn't look more Irish unless you had a little green outfit and were carrying a pot of gold!
Ok, I'm enjoying my Johnny Walker and a raw feed from the Iliini/FDU game. Barco projector set up for our enjoyment.

Downers Grove, I grew up in Brookfield. I used to cruise at the Breman mall. My wife's Aunt lives near 143rd and Wolf rd in Orland and her mom is near 111th and La Grange road in Palos. Did you go to Sandburg???

Booze run.

Kipp, Yep Sandburg. '64-'67. House was at 131st and 84th.
My WiFi connection is going down in a little while and I have to go back home after the Ilini game. Time to find that bottle back behind the bar.

KenH, Alan and David, please do not delete this thread as AVS has been such a great outlet for being in touch with its members. Yes, I am PWI (posting while intoxicated). I am enjoying a 1999 merlot cab blend right now.

Between cruising the AVS and watching HD, I feel the HD experience with a nice wine can go hand in hand. The two are to be savored in a multi-sensory experience. How many of us do this???? Please share your experiences....

Great post... My preference is French whines consisting of white burgandies and red bordeaux's (btw... about the only thing France does well).

Periodically, including last night, we get complaints about this thread calling for it to be closed claiming it is both pointless and not topical. I'm moving this to the Home Theater Accessories forum where we regularly discuss home bars, keg coolers, wine chillers, and beer taps - a place where it would be considered topical.

For those of you that are reading this thread sober and find it pointless, consider the alternative: a bunch of intoxicated members posting this "nonsensical" stuff throughout all the AVS Forum threads. If you find no purpose in it, don't report the thread, just avoid it. Just like you would avoid a thread about generating your own theater tickets if that held no interest to you.

I'm moving this at about 10:15 am EST (9:15 Central) in the hopes that Kipp will find it while still sober - I realize I'm cutting it close.

I was just finishing up #3 yesterday when I got dragged away from the forum.

bonehead1, that's an early start! Don't forget to switch off with some water periodically.

rickmccamy, you're not operating any heavy machinery, I'd hope.

CPanther95, thanks for moving us to the new digs! I have the feeling Kipp should be able to find it okay.

Well now that ya mention it at times I've actually wandered over to other areas and - oh never mind.

Current drink in hand: coffee, straight
Current Drink (s) on hand:

* SoBe "Courage" (Cherry and Citrus-yummy!)
* H2O
* Black Coffee (I make it so the spoon stands up in the coffee!)

Yes, always have the basic food groups of rehydrating, dehydrating! Sry no other unknown green substances or alcohol in them....
I thought I had lost my mind when I began reading this thread - "Why have I not seen it before? Was I too intoxicated to notice? Who's winning the NCAA tournament right now (oops, off topic)?"

What forum was this beauty originally started? I have been laughing my head off reading it! And soon, I'll contribute. For real. When I am intoxicated.

Ahem...., let's just share our love for the beverages, I think we can all do that culturally neutral, can't we?

cammy, I like your definition of the basic food groups!

Yay! Pam's here! It started a couple of years back in the HDTV programming forum.

Since it's early- I have a question. Has anyone besides myself accidently set their equipment back to factory defaults after drinking? Sometimes I think I should use the "kiddie" on/off channel changer remote if I've had a few and hide the original and programmable remotes from myself.
