Continued on with my bottle of Rare Breed today. Probably gonna get in trouble for saying this, and hopefully y'all won't banish me from this thread ( ), but I mixed with Sprite Zero because well, sometimes I just like it sweetened.

As I said before, Rare Breed is quick to put someone on their ass, without them realizing they've had that much because it's so good and smooth. Mixing RB isn't a bad thing sometimes. Especially if you're about to operate heavy equipment.

After a frustrating experience at Best Buy this afternoon. I figured it has to be 5 o'clock somewhere. Then I looked at my watch and wouldn't ya know, it's 5 o'clock right here. Gin & tonic time.

Damn that looks tasty.

And VERY low calorie too! I could never get used to the dryness of Gin and tonic, so I used to drink gin & ginger-ale on occasion, but these days I can't handle even that amount of dry.

I'm still trying to figure out what it is he's cooking there. A brisket, or a big-ass hamburger? I dunno. Maybe it'll become more clear after a few beers later.

Two 10 lb pork butts and a 14 lb brisket.

What's that show called, "destroyed in 60 seconds"??? That's pretty much what happened when everyone showed up ........

I'm repeating for another group of about 20 end of august.
Thanks for clearing that up Killer, but I'll drink a few beers then look at the pics again anyway.

Gentlemen, salud. I've just poured my first Appleton Estate rum of the night. Have the house to myself once again, not planning any drunken gaming, so I may put on a movie worthy of my time and parooze around my favorite a/v forum looking for those who require help and comfort in this time of need. I may even put on a cape.

More power to ya Stephen, and once again thanks for turning me on to this thread via your sig. I feel right at home here, especially on Friday nights. (Where's the friggin' thumbsup smilie?! )

Tonite, I partake in another favorite bourbon:

What I love about my on-the-way-home liquor store is that they always seem to have every bourbon that I like on sale. It's karma, correct?
^ I haven't tried that one, Rich. I used to drink bourbon almost exclusively but am currently going through a rum phase. Rum is also much easier on you when it comes to hangovers than bourbon is.

I have a liquor store that is about a block away from my house. It was meant to be.

Rock n roll. You in your cape and your wife in her Chewbacca costume growling for more SB1.

Many years ago, BK (before kids) we toured the Appleton Estate distillery.

It's Friday and the weekend is upon us. On a recommendation by his oinkness I went out and picked up the Black Bush and this bottle of Bushmills too. Now this whisky calls for something special. So I busted out the ice shot glasses! C'mon!

Salud!

What can I say? Dirty girl wants it bad...

I checked with my "local supplier" down the road. No Bushmill.

Hehe. I saw this post from you and it cracked me up. Had to reference it somehow.

The smaller liquor store closer to me only had the regular Bushmills. I went to a bigger store and they had the Black Bush. I must say, it's perty damn tasty.

Just picked up an iPad 2 so I'm now drinking to celebrate. Cheers!
I do most of my late night posting from my iPad 2. Salud.

Just saw Cowboys & Aliens and now it's time to pick up a couple of pizza pies. Cocktails and shenanigans will soon follow. When the moon hits your eye, like a big pizza-pie, that's amore.

The pizza was really good. Thanks for asking.

The movie was ok. I give it a solid C, or 2/4 stars. It tried to take itself a little too seriously and kind of got bogged down in the middle. The aliens were pretty bad ass though.

A wee dram o' the Bush. Prost, laddy.

Oh my God that pizza looks good.

Didn't know you were in MN. I may be in Minneapolis towards the end of the month for a couple of days.

I'm gonna have to see if my liquor store has that Black Bush stuff. Looks interesting.

So anyway, I overdid it a bit on Friday night (stressed out 'cause my car's still in the body shop), so I didn't go at it too much last night.

Have a good what's left of the weekend all!

The Black Bush is pretty tasty. In fact, I may indulge in a wee dram or two in a bit.

No, not business. Unless a gathering of drunken friends is considered business.
