I have heard it pronounced many ways. What is the right way: 'Vega' , 'Wega' , 'Vwega' ???

What's up with Sony and stupid names? Wega and the palm ODA Clie?? I think that's pronounced Click?? Stupid. I pronounce it Waygah. If
Sony wants people to pronounce/remember their products they should have....wait it minute, maybe it's working...here we are discussing their stupid name!!!!!!! :)

Wow, I didn't realize it was 2 'V's. I assumed it was pronounced WAY-GUH. But if it's 2 Vs, I would pronounce it Vega as well then.

Mfusick: Sony does use a W at least sometimes. This is a copy and paste directly from Sony's Press release title:

SONY ELEVATES NEW GRAND WEGA LCD PROJECTION SETS TO THE PRESTIGIOUS XBR LINE-UP

Notice that they use a "W" not "VV" .

In my vocab, Wega gets renamed to "wedgie".
Grand Wega becomes Grand Wedgie, especially at that price.

It started out a a VV and turned into a W along the way and over the years.

It's still called "VEGA" though...

I think Sony needs some help with the product names. I think VVega and Vaio suck! As for the pronunciation of SONY it is SAW-NEE from the 60's when they made transistor radios. Or how about the old coinage, "Standard Oil New York."

Who voted they pronounce it "Vwega" is what I want to know... :) I'm trying to imagine the looks on the faces of the uptight Sony store reps here if someone came in and asked them when they'd have the new Grand Vwegas :D
