I am curious - what are your top 5 most watched DVDs in your collection (repeated viewings all the way from the beginning to the end) ?

How many times have you played it?

My list:

Adventures of Wallace and Gromit - 6 times
Dead Poets Society - 4 times
Four Weddings and a Funeral - 4 times
Love and Death - 3 times
Point Break - 3 times

1. Toy Story 1
2. Toy Story 2
3. Dinosaur
4. A Bug's Life
5. Shrek/Jimmy Neutron/Batman, The original 1960s movie

Of course, these results are a bit skewed considering it's my son's & daughter's top 5. But they have been played more than any other that's for sure...

Now, for my personal choices...

1. Die Hard
2. Air Force One
3. Goodfellas
4. Face/Off
5. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Full viewings (not quick chapter samplings or partial viewings) of my 2 faves:

The Shining - watched probably near 50 times over the past 22 years (since 2001 new dvd transfer, watched 3 times)

CE3K - also near 50 times since Christmas 1977 (since Criterion LD in 1990 thru new dvd, watched approx. 6-7 times).

Cheers,

I really don't know the counts, but no more than 10 times for each movie. I am amazed at those of you who've seen a movie over 100 times!!

- Mallrats (my favorite of the 'jersey trilogy')
- Gladiator (this, IMHO, is what movies are all about!!)
- Goodfellas (a modern classic)
- X-Men (i love the marvel universe, and i love the production in this movie)
- Boiler Room (totally underrated flick. comparing it to wall street or glengarry glen ross is unfair. you can tell vin diesel will be a star, and ben affleck's speeches are inspiring :) )

Also, I've watched the beach landing scene of saving private ryan about two dozen times, but that doesn't count, does it?

-Toy Story 1 & 2
-Pearl Harbor
-Matrix
-Nottinghill
-5th Element

but I believe Black Hawk Down will join our list of 'most watched DVD's'...

When friends are over and they have kids...TOY STORY normally requested...when only adults...Pearl Harbor is mostly requested... when the guys are here...everyone wants to see Black Hawk Down.

Gladiator is just a great movie.

We love to demo the Matrix and 5th Element...

Nottinghill...I just like it, so I watch it a lot. Ron AZ

StarTrek, First Contact (fav of all StarTreks)
Fifth Element
Gladiator
Red Planet
All the Alien movies

Lord of the Rings is coming up fast...movies like 2001, Forbidden Planet, Creature from the Black Lagoon, etc have been seen more, but they are much older, some they fall into a different category.
