Got the letter from Comcast last week saying that we are getting the new HD channels 'soon.' This is in the King of Prussia area.

Still waiting...

Ugh, I still can't activate my DVR for the MyDVR service. Still says it's available, but when I try to activate I get the "sorry can't activate at this time" message. I guess it's still "pending". I was told it would be live for me by X-mas...

grrr.

Any new news for World of More in South Jersey, Vineland area?

Got a message on the Plymouth-Whitemarsh system that the guide update completed. However my DCX3400 config still shows a25. No new 800 HD channels either.

I recall getting an "update" that was the big deal since it cleared parental control settings, and rebooted the box. Then the actual A28 update happened the next night. I think they sent out the 1st update to reboot the boxes so the update has a smaller chance of failing. Check again tomorrow morning and you might have A28.

Your correct. The a28 guide showed up this morning. Now just waiting for the new HD channels in the 800s

Anybody have any insight into when MyDVR manager will be available in Center City? When I try to activate on the website it says it's available, but when I click activate, I get Sorry We Can't Activate Your DVR at this Time.

Been happening since before christmas (which is when a CSR told me it would be up). A few weeks ago I called and was told that somewhere deep in the layers of their information it listed the status as "pending".

Does anyone know anything further?

There was an ad in the Pottstown Mercury yesterday that told me World of More is coming to my area on January 14. I'm in Collegeville, PA. And I got A28 guide this AM at home. I will try and remember to scan and post that ad here.

YMMV.

Anyone think it's odd that MSNBC-HD isn't in the World of More lineup, what with a) the Olympics coming, b) all the other channels from NBCU in the lineup, and c) the pending Comcast-NBCU merger?

I asked in the national Comcast thread, and some people in there actually have it. Why not us?
the q,

i hope you are right.

The rest of the 'burbs got MSNBCHD. Philly is missing like 10 HD channels from "world of more" that the rest of the burbs got. I do not know why, i guess it has to do with bandwidth... but up in Bensalem we are only a 750mhz system and got all the HD and have probably 15 6mhz slots that are still empty.

Blech. Could be something to do with all the public access requirements from the franchise agreement with the City.

Phila. School District, Comm. College of Phila., Drexel University, LaSalle University, Government Access, and Public Access is 5 analog channels. How many of those are on the suburban systems?

I'm not seeing it in Willow Grove area *c*. Anyone served by WG have it? I use a Tivo so if it's available I have to add it to my channel list.

Where did they move CBS HD in King of Prussia?

It should be somewhere....

I have a QAM tuner, not a comcast box.

I am in Collegeville on the Perkiomen Twp. side and I now have the HD channels in the 800 range, lots of them. They must have shown up overnight.

Anyone know how long it usually takes for the guide data to be updated after a big lineup change? I forced a connection on my HD TiVos, but no joy on the guide yet. I'd sure like to get my wishlists and season passes switched over.

Do a QAM scan with your TV's tuner. It should find it. Sometimes you can find channels with the HDHomeRun locator, but it's not always up to date and is hit or miss with many areas.

found it on 115-1

I'm pretty sure mine didn't update until I personally submitted lineup information to Tivo.

http://www.tivo.com/setupandsupport/...neup_tool.html

It was a couple of weeks at least.

Comcast STILL hasn't updated the Comcast.com lineup with the new channels in the 800s here in Center City/South Philly, and they've been live since late November or early December. If Comcast doesn't update that, I bet TiVo/Tribune never finds out about the change until a subscriber tells them.

When you submit the information, include a link to the World of More PDF of the new HD lineup in your area, hosted at a Comcast site. Without that, they might not believe you.

Just took a look at NBC's Olympic schedule. Now I'm even more annoyed that I don't have MSNBC in HD.
