The CSR line about not getting any HD w/o a cable box is almost always what they say. Their engineers understand clear-QAM, if you can get to talk to them.
However, the part about Ltd. Basic not including any HD is silly, though they say it sometimes; it is false, of course. Their Channels/Services Card has shown, for many years, that Local Broadcast HD chs. are part of Ltd. Basic.
Also, one of the HD cable box rental prices has even been labeled for 'Ltd. Basic or Standard customers'. As of 1 May, though, the HD cable box rental price will be standardized, so you won't see any service designations anymore.
The updated 'World of More' HD Channels/Services page still shows the Ltd. Basic HD, as expected; I doubt it will change for the forseeable future.
Also, as of this update, each HD simulcast ch. of an SD ch. has been aligned in the same service. HD exclusives are included in whatever service they choose.
