Don't know when it got fixed, but it's fine now. Snow on the way for Bloomington (maybe).

Channel 8 is at it again, the same thing today.

Over and over, week after week, and year after year,
WTHR's fast-motion macroblocking and blur continues with SNF.
I noticed macroblocking on 13.3 last night at 9 pm. when watching Star Trek. Maybe WTHR has reached it's limit with running three channels.

Year after year...WISHTV can't get it right with scrolling tickers. Stop vertically squeezing the picture you incompetent fools!

I watched last night's Golden Globes at a friend's house who has AT&T UVerse. When I had UVerse about a year ago, I thought the national channels (ESPN, HBO, etc.) were of good quality but the locals really sucked. Watching the Globes last night on channel 13 I couldn't see any of the old problems I remember.

Anyone else out there have UVerse notice an improvement in the last year? I know some (Steve...) have technical issues with UVerse unrelated to its compression and picture quality, but I was really impressed with how it looked last night.

I've watched WGEM, Quincy, IL via OTA and its three channels look similar or better than WTHR's, and two of WGEM's channels are HD!

I've also watched WISE, Fort Wayne, via OTA and its two channels are much better than WTHR's three (one 1080i HD, and two 480i) and both channels from WISE are HD (1080i and 720p).

What are you seeing? Watching the News now on a HTPC using a MyHD tuner, seems OK, but hey.....My eyes are 'old'. smile.gif

I'm just North of A-town.....I could near throw a rock.

I am looking to install an OTA antenna in my attic and run it (at least) to my setup in the basement. Anyone recommend a competent installer?
Yourself? I work in Danville and don't know of anyone in Hendricks County that does that kind of work anymore. I've put up my own and my daughter's antennae, both outdoor models on poles.

Running the cable through the house is not something I want to tackle. It will have to be fed from the attic, past the first floor, and into the basement. I also know nothing about amplifiers nor how to split the signal if I choose to go that route.

Love Comcast.

My bill is just a little shy of two hundred bucks a month, and right now I'm here in Bloomington watching Purdue come from way behind against Iowa on the BigTenNetwork.

The only problem is, THERE IS NO SOUND!

Yep, Comcast is great.
