I have entered the hdtv dark ages once again
. My family and I have relocated from the greater Boston area to the coastal Carolina's. I was enjoying off air hdtv broadcasts for the past 2 years and it appears I get to experience the growing pains all over again.
From reading this thread it is clear that you folks are far more knowledgeable in the intricacies of off-air technology than I. I was hoping you help me with my current my situation.
I think that my only options for off air are to either come up with a well disguised outdoor mount antenna or to go for an attic mount. The ridge-line of the house I am renting is 25' and I have a clear shot toward the east down a fairway without obstructions however I am surrounded by a thin grove of tall southern pine. I am 25 miles from Myrtle Beach and 50 miles from Wilmington.
I purchased an indoor Terk TV5 when I first moved in so that we could watch something while we waited for DirecTV to be installed and for our RPTV to be delivered. I have since returned the Terk but while I had it I was able to receive the following stations:
WWAY, WFXB, WUNJ, and WECT
Do you think I could get away with an Antennacraft AC-9 or an amplified Sensar Antenna as the titan tv site recommends? I realize I won't pick up Florence but it appears to be in the range for MB and Wilmington. I have no experience with this antenna.
