Yep, got mine yesterday from Alan and it significantly improved every aspect of the image.

Everyone probably knows all the positive virtues of contrast, color, and etc...... Did I mention color? http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

Then some have issues with hotspotting and color shift, but with my picky eyes I was not distraced at all. The only place you really see these screen effects is when a test disc is put in.......Not an issue.

The one gain in performance which I haven't seen in other posts is the total lack of grain. With my old Da-Lite Cinemavision 1.3 screen, the picture grain was just horrible (I thought it was the transfers). Once you have seen the grainless image from the M2500 there is no turning back.

Approx. how long did it take for you to receive the screen? I ordered a 133" M1300 Cineperm on Oct 19th from a local dealer. Getting anxious. :-)

It took a little over two weeks because of an order entry problem.

It was worth the wait.

I've been meaning to jump on the bandwagon myself, so I'll throw in my 2 cents. I have Premier Series C, 4:3 100" diagonal M2500 and it looks FUNSTASTIC!! I just love watching movies on it. I have never seen any color shifting and the (slight) hotspotting only becomes alittle distracting when viewing a constant white or light background (ya, the center looks alittle brighter than the edges but my projector also probably contributes to that http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/wink.gif). But slip in a movie, turn down your contrast/brightness http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif, kick back and watch those colors make everything come alive. Deniz is right also about being grainless; it just looks smooth. I was worried about that until I order a sample. Speaking of orders, I order mine around 9/7/99 and finally got it on 9/29 so it took about 3 LONG weeks http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif. I was afraid that Draper was not shipping M2500s anymore and was reducing the gain to 2.1 (M2100??) as others have heard (see http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/Forum9/HTML/000079.html) but mine is truely a M2500....

I used the phrase loosely as I have never seen a 2.1 gain from Draper but the sample M2500 I received from Draper a few months is an exact match of my actual screen. I also called Draper to verify my screen was indeed a M2500 (of course, sometimes the right hand does know what the left hand is doing http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif). But you are right, unless I actual made the screen myself or maybe could tell the diff from a 2.5 and a 2.1 gain screen I 'really' can't prove its a M2500....

Hi All...

Draper has now told us the actual screen gain is 2.3 for the new M2500 that has been shipping for a few months. This is the official number that will be published in print and on their site when all the changes are complete. (sales books, slicks, web, etc) It takes time to get all that done and they do not want to waist what they already have printed.

Glad to read you all love the M2500 as we do.

Oh..shipping times...Depending if it is "Stock" size, it can be two weeks before it goes out. If it is a custom size, about 3-5 weeks. In any case, Draper drop ships our orders right to you. That is except for over sea orders...they must come to us first and then out the door. Stock sizes are available in out AVS QuikStore, custom sizes need to be called into us.
