The HS10 has digital keystone correction called SideShot 2 which lets you project an image from offset angles, dont forget though that while the picture be square to your screen the light wont be, and also most people hate keystone correction because usually it degrades picture quality although nobody has yet tried using this feature to see how useful it is on the HS10 (still waiting for a comprehensive review).

The AE300 only has vertical keystone correction so it has to be in line with your screen. The AE300 clone from Sanyo (PLV-Z1) has a lens shift feature which lets you actually move the projector lens up/down/left/right. This means that the image can be projected from the side and the picture/projected light will fit wherever you move the lens to.

Actually, the AE300 does have side keystone correction (digital). It's the AE200 that only has vertical keystone correction. This information comes from the Japan AE300 product brochure.

Hi,

I can confirm that the AE-300 has side keystone correction (digital), and I will never use it!!!

But at the moment it is sent return for replacement of a dead pixel :D

I meant, "Yes. the AE300 has a 'sideshot' feature." But, in this case, as pointed out, it's more correctly called horizontal and vertical digital keystome correction.
