I am thinking of completely insulating the front wall with covered fiberglass batting to reduce the harshness of the sound, and improve clarity. However, my screen (106" diagonal) is a good proportion of the front wall. So what effect does a screen have on the sound. It is right over the center channel after all. Should I insulate behind the screen as well? What frequencies will be boosted by the screen itself? How does your screen sound?
