Those wacky little elves at KFLA-LD has decided to grace us with an 8-5, which at the moment is running a Christian (I presume since there are crosses) call-in show that's in Arabic (or so says the stream info ... I wouldn't know Arabic if it bit me in the caboose).
Video is 528x480 with a bitrate that is hanging right in the vicinity of 2 Mbps, audio is MP2, 112 kbps.
Yeah, I said MP2, not Dolby Digital. Is that even legal for ATSC broadcast?
My Sansonic and Channel Master converter boxes are having none of it. They can't even detect there's an audio stream being transmitted. The good news is that on the Zenith box and the EyeTV, the two channels of audio are both working and are in phase with each other, which is something that the crack team of KFLA engineers often have difficulty achieving.
I'm sorry to report that they still haven't achieved it on 8-3 and 8-4.
EDIT: Looks like this
is our new channel.
