Don, Do your initial production plans for the GreyHawk include manual pull-down and 16x9 varieties? What about screen material for DIY?
I believe that most commercial screen manufactures such as Da-lite, Draper, Stewart etc. will be more than happy to sell screen fabrics only. This is a good compromise for the DIY crowd. It allows the DIY to have a professional
optical screen surface and still get the economy and self satisfaction by fabricating their own screen frame. The screen frame can account for 50 to 60 percent of the total cost of a commercially built screen.
All Stewart screen fabrics are available in manual pull down roller units.
I would like to add, at the risk of making some people upset, that pull down screens were never intended to be in a home theater environment and should only be used as a last resort. I would prefer to see the customer built their own screen frame and purchase a quality screen fabric from one of the screen manufactures. To me a pull down screen in a home theater is like having a GPS in a Yugo, a butler in a mobile home, etc.
