How does one know this is really a new bulb?

How does one know that the gas has not leaked out?

Buying this with no warranty may not be such a good idea.

Saving a couple of hundred bucks is not worth the worry and aggravation.
Thanks For the heads up though Lars.

Hopping someday for the price to go down on these bulbs, But thats another story.

Speaking of E-Bay... I got the 2-1/2 Electrohome EPS 1024's! HAHAHAHA! 210 people looked at the auction, and no-one bit. Very strange. 3 complete 1024x768 2 year old $9k LCD projectors. For $1100. What was there to think about?
Actually I convinced a freind to buy them, I told him I would fix them for free. I get to keep the third one.

Well I bought a postcard complete with poem that
was handwritten and signed by Charles Manson and mailed from
the Corcoran (California) State Prison.

Damn. Only eBay can get my impulse money. Nowhere else
do I make such stupid purchases.
