Thanks for the numbers RockyF.
Due to your high readings I assumed that there was still something wrong with my setup due to the Christmas snow storm and not stations at low power. I finally got around to changing virtually every connection including the 75 Ohm balun at the antenna. Still same results. So I dropped my large combo antenna down it's mast from 15' to about 4' off the ground to investigate it closer (got tired of flailing around on a ladder). Low and behold, my readings on the problem channels went back up to near/where they were before. All is good now.
I get only 2 edge reception here (2 hills between me and the transmitters) and have many trees around so I do not get a direct signal. Apparently, the storm so completely re-arranged the RF environment (trees down/bent ) that RF diffraction/reflection from them no longer fed the hot spot that my antenna was in. Now I seem to be gathering signal from the bushes in front of my antenna. It is pointed right into a thicket. If I tilt the antenna up to the horizon (hilltop) my signals drop drastically. If I raise the antenna 2 feet they also drop considerably. This stuff can be so bizarre.
At least I can monkey with the antenna easier now but It sure looks strange, a big long antenna so close to the ground. I guess I'll see how long the good signals last.
Thanks again for the numbers.
