Interesting. I tend to see a trend from this forum and other home theater forums. More people than not who own multiple consoles AND have a chunk of money invested in their home theaters tend to play the PS2 the least. I have been an avid gamer for many, many years. I'm 35 and started with pong and have owned most consoles since. Game play is where its at. HOWEVER, even though the PS2 library is vastly larger than the XBOX and GameCube combined and offers more AAA titles, I still play it the least. Why? I love my home theater just as much as I like to play games. If a gamer can afford it, you have to have all the latest consoles. They each have something to offer that the others don't. So I will only buy the cream of the crop for each system. I don't buy games just to buy. But for the PS2, the game has to be HUGE before I buy. I probably wont buy another game for it until Silent Hill 3 is released. If Sony offered more 480p and DD games, as well as a dedicated on line service, I would have many more PS2 games. Don't misunderstand, I'm not bashing Sony, I luv' em. The do make outstanding games. But the Xbox gives me solid titles, live and 480P. Gamecube brings that Nintendo magic, 480p and Pro Logic II to most AAA titles. They all need work in the 16X9 department. So Sony, I'll gladly buy more games when you begin to offer more to the home theater enthusiast. The competition has already catered to me, but I'll keep waiting on you.
