Well, I guess I'll keep CBS DNS (if allowed).
That DirecTV link is written as if this only affects those stations already carried by DirecTV. No mention of DMAs not yet covered.
I've said many times in the past, that this whole locals in local thing is stupid.
Can you imagine how much more simple it would have been for DirecTV if they didn't need to supply locals from every DMA?
They could have set it up so each time zone got the networks. This would have put the local broadcasters out of business. But, in this modern time, do we really need them. Yeah, I know, what about local news, sports and weather? I'm sure the experts out there could come up with a solution to that. Maybe, a set top box to deliver that content over the internet. Of course, OTA would still exist, or would it?
