Yeah, I forgot--this is El Paso, Mexico!!
Yeah, I saw the blackout. They came back with about 15 minutes of national NBC programming (SNL) and then they went off the air for another 15 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous, they are really understaffed. Directv had to put up their technical difficulty banner TWICE. Right before the news finally came on, they were forced to air This Old House for 2 minutes. Once the news did come on, they had no weather graphics and their commercial machine was not working. If they were fully staffed and they had their generator working or fueled up, nothing would have happened. Also, on Friday KVIA stupidly did not air World News; they aired some entertainment show (syndicated) instead. It seems like when the start something (be it commercials or the wrong program), they are forced to continue. Afterwards, they did not even say what the issue was, they just ignored it like nothing happened.
I also hate the baseball team's name so much I will just refer to it as the El Paso Triple A Baseball Team.
