WRIW-CA signed on their digital channel on RF 50, Virtual 50.1 from the WJAR tower in Rehoboth on Friday July 20, 2012.

That was weird... I was just watching through the worm hole with morgan freemond on channel 1100 and at 1:59 pm all the sudden I was watching channel 10 nbc (channel 101o because it was in hd) giving the traffic report and local weather with their logo having a time stamp of 8:59am. Then it went back to through the worm hole during the credits.

I was recording through the worm hole on my tivo and the recording also has the channel 10 nbc. That was a rather odd glitch and time warp.

New OTA guy here with some questions. I live in Westport, MA and I am trying to get as many Providence and Boston channels as I can with new RCA ANT751R Outdoor Antenna. I had this thing mounted inside my attic but I was unalbe to get 10.1 so I put it outside on the roof using my old DTV tripod. Good news is that I now get 10.1 but I have lost 28 and 56. How picky are these antennas with the direction they are facing? From the looks of it the Prov and Boston towers are almost in the same line of sight. As of right now, I get 6,10,12, and 64. There are few channels that I also pick up that are in other languages so they dont count. Am I using the wrong antenna or do I need to raise it up higher and/or readjust it? Like I said, I am new to this OTA stuff as I recently got rid of DTV and tossed the dish off the roof!!!!

6, 10, 12, 36, and 64 all operate from the same tower cluster in North-West Rehoboth.

28, however, operates from Freetown, MA. So it is in an entirely different direction.

56 is a Boston station that doesn't put a lot of RF down south, especially where you are in Westport.

And the direction will be different enough, even for a slightly directional antenna, to need to reaim for Boston versus Providence, versus 28. (and 69, which is down in Hopkinton, RI)

Does anyone know of any profession antenna installers in the area? I have an antenna in the attic, but I have trouble pulling channel 10, and I actually get Channel 5 better than channel 6. I am coming very close to breaking down and getting cable if I can't get better reception

Hi, is anyone noticing the audio mix from ABC6 being wrong? My center channel is shifting to my rear left channel on my Hopper DVR.

I recorded the same show on 6 as well as on Boston WCVB 5 and the mix is correct on the Boston feed. Any ideas on why this could happen would be great

I don't have an answer and haven't noticed this, but it's another reason that even though I live in Pawtucket I almost always watch the Boston stations.

I have noticed that Channel 6's sound is Uncomfortable" to listen to and have been listening and watching ABC shows on Boston's channel 5 which has a much more pleasing sound. This has been going on for at least several weeks. Channel 6 Prov/New Bedford needs to wake up and listen to their own sound and then compare it to Channel 5's sound. It needs fixing somehow!
