What are the in?s and out?s of a ?down-fire? vs. a ?front-fire? 12?sub?

I have a HSU VTF-3 and was thinking about changing over to the ?down-fireing? rose wood version.

How does the sound differ?

I talked to Dr. Hsu about this a couple of weeks ago. He said the only difference is less localization with rosewood version.

Give them a call....very helpful. Better yet, you are in Riverside, you are about a 40 minute drive from them on the 91.
