BuggyBoyCA,

I just installed Panasonic tuner for Sirius. Is it 1st or 2nd generation tuner?.

Thanks,
Chris

All Panasonics at this point are 1st generation systems.
They are very good systems though, Panasonic did a very good construction design on them.

Thanks for the answer. I have one more. Do you know if any company will come out with standard size Sirius home stereo tuner with SPDIF output?.

Yes, they are in fact!

Sirius will have two home units around Oct-Nov of this year from AudioVox and Kenwood. The AudioVox I know will offer Digital output, and a Composite output for Artist/Title display on a TV, but I am not completely sure on the Kenwood home unit. They will also be coming out with new antenna designs specifically for the home units. One antenna is designed to be placed outdoors, and mounted to a roof or a flat surface. Another is meant to be mounted on the mounting arm on a DISH or DirecTV satellite dish. It will use diplexors to piggyback on the incoming line of the satellite service, so no new lines are needed to bring it indoors.

All of this will be out by the end of the year.
