No it is because you are being silly. 95% of the HD material I watch is not available OTA. I have an OTA setup for recording OTA HD material to a hard drive and then optical HD. I do this only for ease of editing. The bitrates for Buckeye broadcast networks and OTA are exactly the same. Buckeye passes the signal untouched.
Cable has most of the material I want to watch. ESPNHD, HDNET, HDNET Movies, I love the History Channel HD...I love watching CNNHD has incredible PQ, The list goes on and on.
The best HD material in not available OTA period. OTA is for those too poor to afford the luxury of cable HD. I can understand that if you live on the east side or have trouble making the mobile home payment. Otherwise OTA is just poor man's HD.
