An interesting thing happened the other day, all of a sudden all audio sources on my computer started crackling and having high levels of distortion. Of course at first I thought it was hardware related. But I found out quickly it wasn't. All audio sounds perfect only when played back in Sonic Foundry programs and no where else. I can crank it and it sounds beautiful.
Now from what I can assume, Sonic Foundry must have it's own audio codec library separate from windows. Let me know if I wrong on that one. I am assuming again that I can fix this all by reinstalling the Windows library of codecs. Now is that even possible? I've searched and looked but with no results. Please enlighten me!
Thanks,
Jeff
