DScaler + TiVO + DiVX???

Just a question for all the HTPC folk out there. Don't we now have all the necessary components to create an app that records broadcast video, cleans the image and then burn CD-ROMs? With 110 min of video on a single CD-ROM using DiVX
I'm looking forward to coupling my TiVO to my HTPC and
really archiving the shows I love to watch.

Are there plans for inserting tools downstream of DScaler to do this?

PS: I should mention I meand DiVX in the MPEG4 sense and not that crap one used to see at CC

Just hook your TiVo up to your video input card. Then use VirtualDub to run all the same improvements that DScaler does. It does deinterlacing and scaling just as well, except not in real-time. Then save as whatever you want. DivX is outdated by now. I would use MS' Windows Media 8. Its an updated, two-pass MPEG 4 codec. DivX is just a rip of MS' first attempt at an MPEG 4 codec.

I personally use Windows Media Encoder to accomplish this. I've only attempted recording one thing off the video input. Most of the stuff I work with is DVD-based.
