Wen you put in a disc a DVD and press play does your machine ever turn off. Mine has been doing this lately. If I clean the disc then it works. It seems like my player is more sensitive then it ever was. Is this normal?

First of all this is a DVD recorder forum. So if you are talking about a playback only deck you might have better luck posting in the DVD Hardware section.

Second, it would be helpful if described what model player or player/recorder you are having the problem with.
