I recorded it on my Tivo and saw something new (on that show and another). An "A" appearing with what appears to be "sound waves" shooting out from it on one side. My guess was that's their way of saying "surround audio"? Fox has "5.1" appear and I forgot what the other network does but they show "surround audio" on certain shows too so my guess is this is this network "catching up" to the others. Look at it again. It is "AD" which stands for "Audio Descriptions" .
It appears on both of my recordings (through Comcast and OTA) but the actual audio description only came through on the OTA recording. It was annoying to me and I could not figure a way to turn it off. Just to experiment with Comcast recording, I could not figure a way to turn it on. I then opened both recordings in VideoReDo and saw each only had on audio stream!
I saw the same "AD" symbol in that night's recording of "Glee" but the actual audio descriptions did not come through. I only recorded it OTA.
