can't get new ati drivers to work

I'm trying to get the new ati beta driver set 4.13.7115 to work. It only works in cpu mode (not rage 128/radeon) as set by dvd genie. when trying to run it, it complains about either non installed sound card, unable to access overlay memory. i'm using m-audio 2496.
The older drivers (7075) do work

Anybody out there get these drivers to work?

I can't speak for everyone, but I also had some, though not as severe, problem with 7115 driver with DVD playback. I thought it could be something else, but after a few tries, I went back to older ATI driver and no more problems. It is, after all, unsupported driver, so if older driver works, that's fine with me.

i heard in a previous thread that the new ones supported custom t&r
